I’m a little excited this morning. At work, we are in the middle of a very busy, hectic, and stressful period – it is called budget season. And this year, I am responsible for double what I have done in past years. Back in February, when I agreed to take on the new workload, I anticipated that budget season would be hairy, but I really underestimated what it would be like. So needless to say, the past couple of weeks, I have not been a happy camper.
Thankfully, the end is in sight – just a couple more weeks. And the heavy lifting aspect of it should be complete within the next week or so. But what has me a little giddy is, that on a whim this morning, I made a decision to request some vacation time. A whole week even. I don’t usually take a whole week off – only if Curt, Miss B and I have plans to go somewhere. It is going to be so nice to take some time to regroup, refresh, and spend some time doing some things on my ever growing list.
With that – have a great day! My outlook for today is a little brighter knowing that I have something to look forward to.
