I'm starting to understand why some might think a Project 365 is too daunting. Although I am keeping up with my weekly layout (with journaling), I am finding it hard to take a picture every day. Part of it is just not remembering - my camera is not wrapped around my next 24/7 and it is too easy to get wrapped up in the day-to-day. Another part is not having my camera with me - which kind of sucks when you have one of those Ah Ha moments and think something would be a great picture. And lastly, sometimes I just don't think there is anything "exciting" about the given day - although, that really isn't a good excuse. The point of the project is to capture the everyday. So, there you have it. As I mentioned when I started out - I am keeping up to date. But I do need to keep my camera handy and just snap away throughout the day.
On another note, I wanted to call out my "in awe"/envy of Shannon Teubner's ability to color with COPIC markers. I have taken a COPIC certification class and I have more than plenty COPIC markers. And I love how smooth coloring is with the markers. But... my coloring never looks like this, this, or any of her other fabulous cards. And I'm not sure if my brain knows how to color like that. It is truly awe-inspiring and makes me want to pull out my markers and at least try. I suppose I should stamp up some images and just give it a whirl. And give myself permission to just let go and throw it away if it doesn't turn out. I think that is really what it is about - I'm afraid to practice.
So, that's all I've got for today. I got some new CTMH goodies yesterday, but it was pilates night - which meant I got home too late for any crafty time. Maybe tonight. Have a good day!
