One of the things that I was most excited to unpack was my new chocolate tempering unit and chocolate molds. I will say, however, that I was a little leary to try it out - I was afraid that I wouldn't temper the chocolate right or that I would break the machine. But my fears were unfounded. It was actually a relatively simple process and I can't wait to take another stab at it. Next time, using my texture templates and design transfers. Until then, here is a picture of my first molded chocolates.

Big Chocolate Delivery
Fedex stopped by our house bright and early this morning - to deliver 4 boxes (72 lbs worth) of chocolate goodness. I had every intention of taking a picture of the boxes when they arrived - but got caught up in the excitement of opening them up. It wasn't until I had placed the last items on the shelf in the garage, that it dawned on me that I missed my picture opportunity. So, rather than abandon the idea entirely, I decided to take a snapshot of the empty boxes. It's a good thing that next week is recycle pick up week - because I'm sure the bin will be overflowing by the time we break all of these boxes down.
