I had a pretty busy and mentally exhausting day at work today. So after I got Miss B fed and situated, I retreated to my office for a little surfing - facebook and message boards mostly. The parenting board that I frequent has a section for "Cooking & Recipes". Given my growing love for cooking, I'm always checking this section for new and interesting ideas. Well, today there was thread titled "Oreo cookies from scratch". Oh my! I definitely had to check it out. I love Oreos (too bad they don't make the big ones anymore - they were the perfect ratio of cookie to frosting). Apparently, the poster had found the recipe here. They look and sound fabulous and are going on my list to try.
Since I was already on Stef's blog (like how I call her by her first name as if I know her?), I decided to read more. I mean, how could I not? Her blog is called Cupcake Project. And I am a cupcake kind of girl. Sounds right up my alley. Be sure to check out the background of how she got started. A very cute and cool story. I'll definitely be going back and reading her archives to see how her cupcake journey has evolved. And I may just have to try out a recipe or two.
