Man – what a scorcher today was. 96 degrees. Just plain yuck unless you don’t mind being in a continuous state of drip. We did get a little reprieve, however, because Miss B had a birthday party to go to at Idylwood Park. Which meant we got to spend some time at the lake. It’s funny because the water seems rather cold when you first step in. But it sure doesn’t take long to get used to it. I would have loved to have a chair to sit in, right at the waters edge, where I could just kick back, relax and keep my feet in the water. (And maybe a few less people.) Miss B had an absolute blast, of course. And I loved seeing her show off her new swimming skills (she’s been in lessons all summer).
