Well, here we are again – Friday. And another jam-packed weekend on the docket. Thankfully, I fell asleep just after 8:00 last night and I’m feeling pretty rested up to tackle my to-do list. And with a little luck, I may just have some crafty goodiness to share when all is said and done. Enough on that – let’s get to this week’s episode of Friday Favorites.
Tresa Black (Fabulously Artsy) – The Stamp Goddess is gearing up for her annual Creative University retreat (to be held in February). I’ve watched/read from afar for the past two years and thought it would be cool to go. Even if just to be in the same room as some remarkably talented and creative ladies. But see, I get a little gun shy about going to retreats. One - I don’t want to go by myself. Even if I know I will meet gads of wonderful women. Two – I kind of like the comforts of my own home. What if I forget to pack that ONE thing that I just have to have. And well, you start to get the picture. I can come up with 10 reasons easy as to why not to go and I usually talk myself out of it. But this year is different. Tresa posted about registration opening for CU HERE. I had already started my ritual of talking myself out of going. However, when I went to work the next morning, I had received an email from a friend titled “Tempted?” and contained nothing more than the link to Tresa’s CU registration site. After going back and forth via email for about half an hour to forty-five minutes, we both signed up. Sometimes you just need a little nudge.
Jennifer (Jen’s Scrappy Pages) – Jennifer recently got a new macro lens for her camera and has been out taking it for a spin. And she has been sharing some of the pictures she has taken (see HERE and HERE). Can you believe the detail she is able to capture? Stunning.
Kelly (Simply Kelly Designs) – check out THIS new template that my girl, Kelly, released this week (along with a new kit that is perfect for her Sea World pictures). I instantly thought this template would be perfect for some pictures from our trip to Whistler last summer. I can’t wait to start playing around with it.
Andrea Walford (Stampin Up Demo) – Andrea and Sophia posted a couple of beautiful cards this week (see HERE and HERE). I love the color combinations and the clean design. I will definitely be casing these. And while you are checking out the cards, be sure to click on the link to sign up for “Twelve Days of Christmas”. It is a special newsletter that comes out once a week featuring a different Christmas project each week. And it is FREE!
Okey dokey – I think that about does it for this week. Hope you all have a great weekend!
